There isn't much flat riding and there are good climbers in the lead group. I hope the GC and the stage win will be separate races today, but it depends how hard the bunch push it.
I'm surprised that Garmin haven't thrown down their 'mountain madness' tactics today, with Talanksy pretty much out of the GC.
Spare a thought for Hayman. Off the back already.

Sagan's job for the day is done, he got maximum points at the intermediate sprint.

Ted King has abandoned, which is a shame.

So who are the riders most likely to have burnt themselves out in this first week? I'm thinking of Kittel and Renshaw getting stuck in the stragglers group yesterday for example.

Started watching late, was quite enjoying itv4 until 138km to go when Gary et al handed over to Phil and Paul. Back to Eurosport now. Anyone know why Phil and Paul are still employed?

And ironically.... the African riders in TdF in recent years have been whiteys. Impey and Froome are the ones I can think of.

Andre Greipel is a star, he could easily be sat in the grupetto but instead is working hard on the front of the peloton for the team.

My call is the winner is yet to come out of the bunch.
