Best TDF in years so far. We've had a mini LBL and a mini Paris Roubaix now, and Nibali has ridden like a boss in both of them.

Astonishing ride by Nibali. Just what the race needs with Froome out, he's the man to beat and everyone has a large deficit to make up. Roll on the next 2.5 weeks!

Question: did Froome go down on Monday too? When the peloton cane past me in Epping forest, he was off the back and being paced back on. Just wondering if he crashed three days in a row?

He's got options with Fuggles in 2nd place. Tres excitant-with his form going into the Tour I hadn't expected him to feature much-even getting the jersey seemed to be a token gesture to appease Vino.

Porte has ridden himself into contention. Not many GC guys ahead of him, the mountains will clear out most of the names. Kwiatoski sitting pretty too, Talansky little bit further back. Contador is going to have to go for in the hills. Valverde a loser today too.
