I know Contador is a bit drug-cheaty, but you have to love his combatatiatativity.
Balls to team tactics and yay for individuals on the attack.

Reminds me of Cadel in quite a few ways. He stands out because he's an Aussie and not a cunt. Probably something to do with being from Tasmania.

Apparently the course was 100m longer this year.
So he all but equaled Wiggins time. -

I thought a well-deserved win for Porte and a relief after having to support Froome/ Wiggins to race for himself. Very fast on the final TT, that will get tongues wagging but he is based in Nice so knows the ride extremely well.
Wonder if he'll go the Giro for Wiggins or be saved for the Tour? Sky have a lot of options at the moment.

Schleck is DNF. Pulled out of Tirreno.

Is that one of those Catholic manoeuvres?

Porte rode past me once on the way to signing in at a stage of the tour of Britain a few years ago. We were only in a carpark but I shouted words of encouragement- he looked like he thought i might push him off his bike. Since then I've rooted for him.

I know Sky want to protect Froome for the TT tomorrow, get him home with the other leaders so he doesn't lose anytime, but I feel sometimes they should send someone away in the breaks that form so they aren't the ones who have to do all the work controlling the peloton.
Maybe being slightly more adventurous with their rider resources would pay them back in terms of energy not expended, as other teams have to come to the fore. -

That would seem logical Corny.. But they have a plan and stick to it.. And it does seem to work pretty well. Besides the early skirmishes to get into a break can be just as, if not more tiring.
I thought the long tail on a TT helmet was about making sure air flowed over a rider's back. A lot of them looked too upright.
