Froome can't pull off jawbones
-
• #2353
^ Can anyone pull them off?
('jawbones, how the f*ck do they work?!)

Come on Porte
This.

It is the classic cycling double cross: you ride for me in this race, I'll ride for you in the next, then book a holiday for that month, or ride the race and constantly attack while maintaining you are doing it to tire out the other rider's rivals

I agree that Porte could be in with a pretty good shout.
If they send him up the road he might end up in pink, and it'll be a hell of a job to get it off his shoulders!

I can't believe this has started already... it's how long until the tour?
I know sky have put money into buying an immense squad with multiple potential leaders and outright GC contenders, but you don't get this amount of bickering on any other team do you? It makes Cadel and Phinney look like best buddies.

Teejay Van Tosswrangler is the one to watch out for on that crew.

maybe its a double bluff, orchestrated by Brailsford, with both Wiggins and Froome using the media to make other teams think there is an internal riff, then closing ranks and putting the hammer down come the start of the tour, Wiggins leading Froome out into the high mountains and then both of them doing a tag team attack on Contador and Nibali..

I'm getting so giddy for a proper humdinger of a Grand Tour that I think I just did a little sex wee in my knickers.

^ Can't wait for the Giro

• #2362
Problem is it'll be all LeMond - Hinaulty, with them on the same team. Oh god, I can imagine it now, like those reality TV shows that are really awkward and hard to watch.
If only they were on different teams this year.

Not his style at all so far as I can tell. I've never seen him playing Kenney/Hoy mind games... it was always "We aren't worried about targets, so long as the riders are hitting their power numbers then I'm happy".

Trying to force last years winner out of the race is not a very classy move. I'm still not convinced there is anything in Froome's palmares that entitles him to pull rank on Wiggins, if the latter can show the same form as last year.

You're all ignoring the blindingly obvious. The truth behind all the friction and discord was clear last July.
http://www.lfgss.com/post2998014-1474.htmlThat there has been a tiff, perhaps even a trial separation, will no doubt be made public soon.

That's the thing, Wiggos form is an unknown compared to this time last year. We'll see in the next few weeks I guess.

That there has been a tiff
.Tiff in question:

And I think he knows it. He always comes across as a little insecure. Wiggins is the senior rider and the defending champion, it is his prerogative to race and try to win the Tour if he wants. It's just that he could have been clearer about it from the off.

How many of these other teams do you think pay any attention to British news?
-
• #2371
i reckon (contrary to the counddog) that there's a massive PR drive on this-it serves Sky's interests well to have the other teams not knowing which man to mark and also creates more of a buzz about them in all the pre-giro/tour coverage.
Wiggo should get prioritah' anyhoos-he's delivered the fucking goods once and i'm sure if he hasn't got the goods he'll be the first man to step aside for the womb-broom and his menagerie of Twatteriferous crones.

froome should clearly get the leadership IMO. Paid his dues and is the best chance for the win. Wiggins should play duitiful right hand man and go for 2nd place (which I dont think he will be able to get anyway)
I love this stuff. I hope they get into a real spat and start attaching each other left right and centre

Froome ftw in attachment war!

• #2374
They should just have a race to decide it

Wow. I`m excited byt this years racing. Giro coming up. Nibbles vs wiggo vs ryder. Should be good.
