Proper racing is winning whatever they throw at you.

Different teams want to give us bikes to race on.. But it's not the same feeling as our own bikes so we will not race today
WTF? If I decided I wasn't going to go to work because my HP laptop was broken and they only had a spare Dell, I'd be given short shrift. Precious fuckers.

Yeah just ride 100 miles on a saddle you never used before on a bike that doesn't fit at 50km/h.
Get a clue.

Completely unconvincing. If you have a race to do, you do the race - if you have to borrow a strange bike, saddle or whatever, you do it. The only difference between borrowed bikes and their own is that they're not being paid to ride those ones.
In any other sport, a participant would borrow kit and make do and mend. Even golfers will borrow different clubs they've never used before, a much bigger difference than using another bike, and they're too lazy to even do a real sport.

Bullshit. The Tour of the Med is a training race, and there is little point in running the risk of a season affecting injury for a couple of days of unimportant racing. The number of pro riders who've got injuries from changing equipment is well known, so there is absolutely no point in taking a risk.

ah, Roelandts (Lotto-Belisol) won the last stage
overall winner is Löfkvist (Iam Cycling). Damn, was hoping for Lars Boom who was 2nd on a second behind Maxime Monfort (RSNT)
