I can't say I'm fussed about the price. I'm happy to sell it and stoke the forum fires with added spirit. Plus it means nothing to me any more - I've spunked plenty coinage in the time since I bought that I won't notice the difference.

That's the buyer of my frame, not me. He's chosen to whack it on there for a premium, which is better than flogging a purchase on here for a rise as has happened recently, but it's disappointing all the same.

i feel the same. i sell bikes and frames at cost to help forum members/bike lovers out. i want them to be used, not sold on ebay. gold stars are a good way to sort the wheat from the chaff....... that dude is a douche.

What's particularly annoying is there were several others who PMd wanting it, including a recognisable member or two, but samstraw was first up. There's no guarantee they would have used the frame, but at the least it would have been back up for grabs on here for the same price.

Oh well. His choice, but bollocks to that line of thinking.

Hi, just seen this!!! Basically I bought the mercian on an impulse last week, tried it with wheels from my other bike and it is a tad too big for me. Believe me I didn't buy it to make a profit, I don't think there is any to be made. I put it on ebay as I thought it would be easier to sell as I'm not based in London, with a price of 200 or nearest offer in the hope I could get half that, without the risk entailed by an auction. I appreciate that it looks very suspicious and you're all entitled to your opinions.

In the future I'll offer anything I buy back onto the forum. Anyway lucky skull, if your offer is genuine then I'd gladly sell the frame onto someone it will fit, it's located in Derby.

Credit for explaining yourself Sam, but it did look suspect. My ideal is that the frame ends up in the hands of whoever is next in-line (there's a couple - I'd have to check my PMs).

if it was me, i would close the ebay listing and put it back up for sale via the forum....... let the person next in line have a chance to own it.......i wish i was a little bit longer in the arms, as i would love to ride this frame.
