What year is that GT frameset?
I ask because I've never seen an old steel GT MTB that wasn't Triple Triangle, and the model name was usually 'Pantera' (not Pantara) even before that model switched to Aluminium.

Looks like it might be from around 1988? Early GT bikes

It's not MTB but city-/touringbike 700c. Bought it off a friend. Dont know much about GT's, just that it was beggin for trackends ;-)

Pretty nice that 8bar Foley. I quite like those frames. A cockpit tweak and that would be well nice.

Thanks Zdrenka. Yes i am not quite sure about the bars yet. I had these lying around - but i think i need something more shallow although i love a classic drop. Any suggestions for another cockpit. Or perhaps swapping out the finishing kit for silver Thomson bits ...

I definitely deserve that! I removed the SLR because I didn't want to destroy it during a race at the weekend and replaced it with that thing that I had in the parts bin.... It cracked half way through the race and kept pinching my bum! I was partly annoyed and partly turned on.....

They're supposed to be a pretty good option for a cheap/light/tough saddle, even if they look like they arrive in the bottom of a pack of coco-pops.

I like the decking and the fence.
