Cheap, aluminium single speed cross bikes, whether disc or canti equipped, seem to be rarer than hen's teeth.
I'd love one, but the only options as far as I can see are the Spot Brand Rallye or the 8Bar Tflsberg. The former will be £900 for the f&f, the latter €480 for the f&f. So £1300 for a complete bike seems reasonable.

Gonna have to double check with our distro if it's possible to get a Raleigh RX as a frameset (BB30 = eccentric).

Yeah yeah yeah - when you want that light weight doomsday SSCX with a non-tapered disc fork and want some track put in to it - 38mm rake and possibly "mtb-tight" clearances (cx-35c perfection) since it's 26" fork that is 29'er compatible. http://www.aliexpress.com/item/26er-carbon-mtb-bike-fork-compatible-27-5er-29er-IS-mount-disc-brake-fork/1879607349.html

Thanks for sharing (audax doomsday machine) - can I make you measure an approximate axle to crown length, since even Alibaba can measure it wrong - one way of measuring is this, but sure you don't want to strip it to peaces, anyway aka. http://i163.photobucket.com/albums/t307/Timbike2/IMG_3181.jpg

Also. What is the diameter of the crown race where it meets the headset? What headset are you using?
Edit: Drawings are perfect thank you

450mm a-c doesn't give me that snug cyclocross fit I'd hope for, but perfect for monster-cyclocrossing.

Yeah I searched aliabba real good, but with a demand for non-tapered the options are few.

My orlo rdy for the autumn cx season. Those 41mm knards really made the bike fly over the roots sticking from the ground in finnish foresta.

That's awesome.
How much adjustment do you get with the sliding dropouts?

Saw the new Specialized tricross in London fields cycles today, looks decent for a very budget bike (Under £500 complete) They don't do the SS version any more though unfortunately

Fantastic.
Very expensive! Over £1300... on top of the return ticket to the US.
