Never mind about you, what bike do you ride?
Depends on the weather and what I've got with me (keep my bikes at work and swap em over depending what I'm up to). I'll either be on a Koga Miyata, an 80s Pinarello (dirty from a country roll no doubt) or the big ol single speed tri cross I bought off Retro Di Corsa a week or two ago. Either way I'll be the one looking sheepish and pretending I know more about bikes than I actually do by not saying much about bikes.

Oh and it doesn't look like it'll be foggy which is a shame ambience wise, but it does look unseasonably warm!
-
• #129
Trust me, you'll be in no doubt which group is the lfgss ride bunch. That is the LEAST of your worries on such an outing.
You have dental insurance, right?

• #130
Hey Guys! Given that this is a social ride, is it cool if I bring a non forum member along?
-
• #131
Always ok dude. Don't sweat it.
-
• #132
Cool, thanks mashton. Looking forward to it.

it is with some regret i can confirm my presents (christmas pun intended) will not be with you on saturday.
my work had been brutal, my baby has chicken pox and as it's christmas family must come come first.
i'm gutted to miss this ride and to miss the smiling faces as we see the lights.
please make some suitable ooh's and ahh's in firework style as john dangles his fairy lights in front of you.
merry christmas all and catch you in the new year.
the harp hilly hundred is worth a shout.
i'll get a thread up for that. -
• #134
Sorry to hear that Steve. Hope the work and more importantly the littlun improves. Have a great Xmas and I hope to ride more with you next year. That goes for most people, I think I've done at most 10 substantial rides this year :(

Tentative maybe for 1st forum ride. Supposed to be elsewhere but will see what I can do!
-
• #143
Come along Chris. We can all huddle in your beard if we get cold. Room for at least thirty...
-
• #144
As an unfit wimp I'll aim to be there. Oh yeah, Terry is selling shit Santa costumes for a fiver. Interested?

Great to see the so many folk subscribed to this, and for those of you who wanted to join but can't; we'll jingle some bells on your behalf !
I've updated the notes on post #1, so have a look.

I hurt my back a couple of days ago and could only ride with difficulty today, but I fully intend to do the whole ride.
Who can bring a Garmin with them? As a safeguard against me spasming to a standstill I've uploaded the route to a GPS mapping site: it would be really good if several of you could take the trouble to download the route and bring it tomorrow. I don't have a Garmin so won't be in a position to 'Bluetooth ' the file to your device. but post here, or PM me and I'll PM you the link.

@ Fussballclub: cheers. I strap that on my back as a muscle relaxant and rear light all in one?! - cool. Now tell me the batteries neatly fit a bike trailer :-)

• #149
Hey John, if you PM me the route link I'll plonk it on my gramin (I promise not to peek unless required!)...

I'm on my phone so if someone could add me to the list that would be grand.
Yeah cos LMNH never has any cyclists in it! (Was actually just going to lumber about asking peeps whether they were you lot so all's good)
