I think asking why he went for junior handlebar would be more apt.

You need the 3T Tornova dude;
-
• #84
is that what you'll be touring on?

na. Bikepacking in summer on it though

So touring then!
Just ordered a touring bike too, Cannondale CAAD8.

I presume he meant my America trip.
And the bars are 44's!
-
• #88
They have a drop of 44mm? blimey Andy...

Trololololoble. Those Tornovas look horrid. Why would you want an old-school touring style handlebar in crabon? Can't see them working at all well with STIs/Ergos.

I am lucky enough to be getting a custom made frame as a present later in the year and am 95% decided to get a Vanishing Point. I saw on the new TFG site that the pricing and offer seems to have changed a bit. Is the fork no longer included in the price? Will probably be in the shop in July asking a lot more questions and hopefully making an order.

Very nice, the chunky tubes of those tonic frames work well on such a large frame.
Ed you need to cut your nails.

Great looking bad ass bike!
How tall are you?

Well obviously they work, as in 'the levers fit the bars'. They're a long way up from the bottom of the drops though. Campag in particular would be awkward, with the thumb shifter, don't you think?
-
• #95
That's very much true, it have the same drop as the Rotundo, but the top section is less sloped than the Rotundo.

Why did you decide to mix sram cranks with campag dérailleurs? Not a criticism, as I have it on my bike through necessity and it works, but curious why this approach out of choice.
-
• #97
Sram cranks = good
Campag shifters = good.Thats about it really. And I didn't want to spend all that extra money on record cranks over the red ones...

Quick Q jammy, seen on the old 'gram (reliable source for information nowadays) you've been using this bike as a general road bike also? Hows it treating you in that aspect, with the geo being for cross etc
-
• #99
dont think it was EVER meant for cross use, so I am assuming the geo is not cross specific.
