^ these are steel reinforced, which is a great idea, but a bit pricey of course.
My ones are dirt cheap: http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/250979376097

Hey rocker, perhaps a bit basic for some of the herd but good effort.
And you've probably saved us from a future "what tyre lever?" thread so no complaints from me.
hmm, not quite

By the way: we need someone with a steel reinforced lever to make a sacrifice and cut through it.
I doubt that the reinforcement reaches into the very end of the lever where it usually breaks.
If someone's working in a hospital: an x-ray machine will do fine as well.

Depending on the type of steel, you should be able to run a magnet along the outside to see where it's reinforced.

somone needs to make an automatic tyre lever machine which u can carry in your tool kit and costs 1.99
Hi,
just want to share some experience I recently had:
For years I was using TACX tire levers, i.e. those ones:
And I was always annoyed by the cumbersome function, and they ALWAYS broke. I thought this is normal, but actually I have now found these guys, made in Germany, the 'BUMM 289':
It looks like it's almost the same thing, but they work soo much easier and better than the old ones. Strong recommendation!
