They're still asking questions of me. Such as for proof that I don't work for Yell, which requires me to get my old manager to write a letter for me.

Whenever I think we're ready, we're not.

All the technical questions are answered, it's just the odd human question that is still open.

I like DueDil. I like it a lot. It used to be a real PITA to get company information easily and presented nicely. So it's my go-to place for all such data in the UK.

Why are some people having to jump through more hoops than others? Is it down to Credit Rating checks or something?

as i recently moved i'm not on the electoral roll at my new place and somehow experian doesnt have me at my previous place either so I appear to be just a name floating in the ether.

In my case, I think it's because I've only been in my latest address for a year or so. I guess they require proof of longer residence.

Have you emailed them? It may only needed to be to confirm ID. They asked me to send a certified copy of my Passport as proof (as it happens I work around the corner from their office, so am dropping by tomorrow morning, if that's not too late).

by the time my passport is renewed (still need to find a counter-signatory for my photos) and it's been returned the horse will have well and truly bolted I think.

my own doing of course as i've procrastinated on getting it done for ages. still frustrating though.

They do seem to have a rubbish online KYC system, I can sign up for credit agreements online (eg most recent phone contract) but could not sign up to seedrs without sending notarised proof of id by snail mail.

Registered voter all that time
Drivers licence
Mobile contracts (2)
Experian score of 970+ (bloody good)

Yet no dice with online seedrs KYC, they could not identify me at my address.

Wierd. I don't know my Experian score, I've never looked at it.

Are we still looking at a launch today Velocio, or is it now pushed back? I'm trying to decide on whether to play ingress today or not...

Launching today I believe.

Automotive forums are actually the most profitable forums in the world.
They make all their revenue from eBay affiliate links with only 1 or 2 car sales per month making a profit.
Low number of concurrent active users, plus high value items being sold via affiliates is a recipe for profit.
I do not expect to get any established automotive forum.

Watch forums. High value items, relatively low volumes of traffic.
I know an admin on one who might get you a foot in the door.
Remind me of this when you're ready to take on sites..

So basically... some of you are stuck, they're frustrated too, and we'll get news in the morning.

We've agreed not to launch whilst people are clearly stuck as a result of Experian being down.

Experian is part of the check process. It was down, so it held Seedrs up... it's back up now, and Seedrs have cleared the backlog.

I use http://www.thewatchforum.co.uk/ and http://forum.tz-uk.com/forum.php.

My deposit went through this morning so I'm not bothered about that.
