  • really? i cant seem to find the pictures......

  • Another advantage of not being able to get a rack (if the frame not designed for a rack, it will be noodly) is that it force you to take what necessary and be able to pack light.

    Let me find the photo.

  • it is food for thought.....my only worry is i would end up buying the more expensive pannier rack anyway. Oh dear, 1st world problems........

  • Just wait and get the front one as mine wi be replaced by a custom rack, abet rack mount version but I can sell it to you for peanuts when the time comes.

  • sweet ed. that would be next level amazing! thank you.

  • luckyskull, i'm a bit surprised you haven't custom fabricated some copper water pipe into the desired racking..

  • Finished grinding and fitted the left bar-end shifter.

  • We went a for a little ride to the heath in honour of my new bit of colourful winter cycling kit.

    got a little snap happy......

  • Luckskull

I have a period chrome steel rear rack you might be interested in

Looks exactly like the one you have posted

    Its in Walthamstow btw....

let me know if you are interested ?

  • any ideas on wall mounting a tandem? one major issue, it's a plasterboard wall........

  • Dude, no...

  • Actually the best thing you can do is get two of those;

  • thats quite a good idea ed. takes the stress off the wall. thanks buddy.

  • How am I not subbed to this thread! The build is lovely :)

  • thanks, looking forward to seeing your audax in the flesh(steel) at some point in the very near future.

  • Bike porn>>>>

  • Thanks buddy. Looking forward to riding her again very soon. maybe on the forum mercian or tandem rides if we get our act together.

  • My new saddle bags arrived. Camper longflap for the rear and a barley for the front. should do for weekends/short trips. Now need to figure out racks. maybe a bagman for the camper, but they are so ugly and would not be in keeping if i get a VO rack for the front.

  • Whoah, a lovely bike and very tastefully done!
Which of the Caradice ladies made your saddle bags?
Someone revive the tandem ride thread. Keen to take mine out for a spin.

  • Thanks buddy. I agree, we need to make that ride happen!

Sue made them. They were a special order. Thicker duck cotton and Thicker non-bleached leather.

Take it out whenever you can. They are so much fun. Not had much time for rides this summer, sort of regret it.

  • I ride it everyday and take my daughter home from school on it on Fridays :)
Made the conscious decision a year ago to use the car for family purposes as less as possible.

I've probably done c 3K km's on it this year. It's been to Brighton twice, Whitstable, Cambridge and many other destinations.
Brings a smile to my face every time I get on it and there's noting like a tandem to strike up a conversation with random people.

    Let's make that ride happen!

  • i bet she loves it. cool dad!
i must do better at riding it.....

  • Wow that tandem is gorgeous!

  • Do yo need 2 of these?
