  • Good news - I'd share it on Amazon personally ;)

  • Humph, suppose I'm going to have to buy this now. Do you offer a groupsave discount? Has someone made that joke already?

  • No, you got in there first. Come along on the afternoon of Saturday November 10th, and it's 51p cheaper than via the online preorder (unless they've all been snapped up by the time you arrive).

Meanwhile, the ebook remains the cheapest option.

Economies of scale preclude groupsave unfortunately, no bikes before 7pm, must travel together, etc, etc.

  • Does the book include The Cheapskate Tale?

  • Shirley a classic cyclist 'tribe'.

  • Does the book include The Cheapskate Tale?

I guess you'll have to [strike]borrow[/strike] buy a copy to find out.

  • Got my copy ordered through Lulu.

Very much looking forward to it!

  • LMNH paypal order of print version demands £5.00 shipping! What?!!!

Meet you by the ticket machines at Liverpool st?

  • I should say this is a first for me, buying a book about cycling... it's a bit like lycra for me, I've been fighting it for a long time. People keep buying me cycle books, it infuriates me. Buy me Whiskey, or maybe even a fucking bike. Not a bike book. You cunts.

Sorry Scarlett I'm sure your verse is grate I will be sure to check it out. Mostly cos you're a funny fucker.

  • ^^Ooof, didn't realise p&p would be a fiver. I'll have to discuss that... (although if it gets sent as 'packet' rather than 'large letter', which it would in a jiffy, the p part of p&p is already nearly £3)

More reason to come and get one in person on 10/11/12, unless you can sit it out for another 6 weeks or so until it's on Amazon (or suck up Lulu's p&p costs). Obviously I'd recommend the direct sale as I've shelled out for a box of them :D

It's not like a normal cycling book, BTW. More like going for a little ride than reading a book. That was part of the intention anyway.

Round the back of King's Cross? Oops, wrong forum.

  • Thanks. It was fun. There'll be no sequel though. I'm feeling very prosaic all of a sudden.

No sequel? But surely you left out the nodder cos the foibles of this tribe could fill one book on their own and that is the perfect sequel.

The Soratiagraaltura tales perhaps? Or is that just the "Bad Cyclist" thread?

There's nothing 'normal' about about a cycling book! But yes I will come in person hopefully.

Wow, that's a bit steep. Will have to make the pilgrimage to LMNH on the 10th, but with work in the morning and football in the afternoon it will have to be a quick smash and grab (not literally (probably)).

  • But just consider what the wear on your tyres will come to when riding to LMNH. It needs careful weighing-up.

  • Well done, Scarlett. I'll get it when it's in paperback.

  • Shite, will have to miss this. In Hull on Saturday to visit the old dear and go see Al Murray

  • @ShannonBall - it's in paperback now, though not via Amazon till mid-December. Pop by on Saturday and pick one up :)

I'll probably have some left over, plus LMNH will be keeping some instore* (if you want to avoid the p&p charges they have on the webstore).

  • 'There'?

    Quick, edit it! :)

  • Just on the telephone and Paperback Writer came on as hold music.

    True story.

  • Mine arrived a day or so ago - it's a proper little joy. One of those books you can revisit and it still stays fresh. The illustrations work a charm too.

    Good work!

  • How come there's 118 people viewing this thread???
