You appear to have RAL6009. You could of ended up with RAL4009 and had a sweet baby pink fixeh.

I love Mielec! It's like a lucky dip, you never know what you're going to get! Mine ordered a week ago, in a way I will be disappointed if there isn't something fucked up.

@Murphys_Law ask for the money back that would cover the cost of respray, tbh I think it looks pretty rad like that, camo bartape definitely.

Also with the seatclamp, it's probably the paint, it's known to be quite thick so might be worth sanding It down a bit. And finally, bottom bracket - get it chased and faced, they probably haven't started doing that yet

It seems the seattube bent open a little as the slot was cut in.
Nothing a vice and some careful application of force can't fix.
I'm bringing it to the LBS today for chasing/facing/putting headset in.
Actually the BB threads are chased very nicely but the flats aren't faced.

As to the money: Robert offered me 10€ in return, which is the cost of painting on his side. I answered that for that amount I couldn't even buy rattlecans to respray the frame myself, let alone get a new powdercoat.
Let's see where this goes.

Robert is on here, can't remember his username but he is clever. Tell him that you have not received the good that you ordered, he can either pay the postage back to him and then pay for it to be sandblasted and re-coated then postage back to you (or the amount of, €50 should cover it). Or the cost of a powdercoat here.

To be honest, the color is growing on me and I just want to ride the damn thing. But I can't let him "get away" with that either.

It came home from the LBS today and I built it up right away.
Love it so far. I don't hear angels singing when I ride it, but its quite nice.

Mielec arrived. Geometry is correct and the color too.

that's really not that much of an issue... just chuck some clear nail polish over it, once the headset is on it might well be covered up anyway - bike looks good btw

Tried todo fit the bb.
Right cup doesn't fit. Looks like the thread has some paint on it. Will take it to local store, with some luck will be finishing the build today.

At least no need for lights in the dark winter nights...
