I think the fun part of getting a custom frame is messing with the geo. Buy obvs we don't want bring to life something that can't be handled. So that's why we asked y'all.
This is my current setup: https://fbcdn-sphotos-h-a.akamaihd.net/hphotos-ak-xpf1/v/t35.0-12/10515722_757091167666967_1200559187_o.jpg?oh=00469a77c0bdd5ba2da05c8bbb370bd0&oe=53B6D641&__gda__=1404481169_67f1785bc2b0c6b1acb5cc643517da82
There's only one tiny spacer under the stem. This is me riding it:https://lh4.googleusercontent.com/-ZM8ZgTw-9xc/U7RbegMXsiI/AAAAAAAAK9E/aVzb0qrgT-g/w674-h725-no/DSC07167.JPG
I feel that drops are far and 1cm shorter stem would be good but as I'm riding it less than 4h a week it doesn't really bother me. A part from that I feel confy on it.

Rake means nothing.
What's the trail number you're aiming for?

instead of an ugly and weird custom geo bike you could play with an inline seatpost, a shorter stem, maybe a +6 or more stem.
this would help you a lot and it would be even cheaper and easier. -

I was just about to ask what's all the faffing done to the trail?

So then buy a 11cm stem.. Making the headtube steeper because you don't want to buy track forks is really silly.

I had this frame since february of 2012 or so. And I no longer want it. I bought this frame when I was 16. I was expected to grow up to 1.88 but I'm barely 1.80 now.
Scroto is the one doing the geo' job.

sorry you didn't make it to land of the Giants

try to seperate geometry from sizing. just like handling and fit.
keep a tested geometry* for accurate steering and mess around all you want with the measurements affecting stack and reach only to get that perfect custom fit.
*unless you're unsatisfied with your current bikes handling and really, really know what you're doing.

Or just buy a mash copy in L. Then you know it's good for sure.

Thanks for all your comments. Will come back after sorting the mad angles and stuff out.
Also, Robert uses Deda tubing, or so he says. I've asked him twice if he can get Deda Fire EV but after 10days I still have no answer. Anyone knows if he can use it?

That front end geo is a bit ridiculous, you may have got the right trail you want with that fork by using a steeper headtube but that then affects stem and handlebars, used what's tried and tested, that'll probably involve selling those forks but so be it.
For those requirements, fixed crit and track racing, I'd ask them to do something like a vigorelli with big downtube and top tube, then put gussets where the rear triangle meets the seat tube, then for forks, maybe something like these http://www.unknownbike.co.kr/shop/goods/goods_view.php?&goodsno=640&category=005
edit: ^ here http://www.bikemielec.com/en/ they also say they use columbus, could ask about getting some airplane stuff?

I asked him. He said he only uses Deda.

I demand a tubing sticker for my £95 Mashski!

so you want to chuck an extra 35mm on your headtube? You don't look particularly bent over, in fact I would say it looks like you would drop the height and bring the bars in a bit.

Any chance Robert is on vacation?
I've sent 3 emails in 2 weeks. Still no answer. -

This, you may feel like you want to have the bars higher because you feel like you are too stretched out, get some shorter stems and test these things out because making all those changes from your current frame may be overkill/completely wrong.

Has anyone ordered a road or cross frame? Kinda kicking around the idea of a 650b disc comuter
-
• #4719
My 26" Inbred will take 700x28 slicks so should be able to take 650b x 47, which is 1.85"
-
• #4720
I'm wanting 650b 2.3 tires disc breaks and a 1x8 drivetrain. Maybe some stupid shit too, front rac for sure. But roadish bike not mtb, I know that's the easier rout.

That was my thought, just got to get through this month and still have a job.

Doodled together this design. based around a 393mm Cyclocross fork with disc tabs, this is meant as a do-it-all fixed gear bike.
Changes:
- I need to redo the design and keep the stack height of the headset in mind.
- probably going to lower the seattube angle to 74° or 73° for a more relaxed ride.
Any comments?

it said 75?
Either way, 74 will be fine, 73 mean you can get away with an in-line post.

Hm, I need a lot of setback on my 75° Seattube bike, so I think 74 will work.
