  • Build looks decent, can't be sure though.. got any bigger photos?

  • good picture, but could you show up more of that groovy wall behind it? looks like you cropped it down a bit too much.

  • Very tempted to get a triple triangle

  • I hope you get it in pink!

  • just curious, if any one has any idea, is there any down sides to having a more skinny alu' frame? like would it flex more or just be weaker? because they used to be like the C-dale track was, but generally chunkier now

  • I think it was to help with the harshness of road surface through alu

  • do mielec do tapered headtubes?

  • What would be a good steel fork for my coming Mielec build?
Any other options instead of BLB?

  • Pop into fitrovia bikes, they have a fair few.

  • Thanks but I'm from the Netherlands... Was hoping for a cheap webshop or something like that.

  • 1" or 1 1/8"?

    Threaded or threadless.

  • I'm sorry, 1 1/8'' threadless please.

  • They look quite nice for the money - I was looking for some like that when I ordered my frame but didn't find them (so went for cheap carbon).

  • carbon shmarbon

I have a spare set of these in 1 1/8th stem, threadedless if anyone is interested. £30 (half the Tokyo Fixed price)

  • More old-style dropout issues.
I've worn a particular groove into the right drop-out where the nut now likes to sit, but the chain is way too slack there.
I shuffle it back but it keeps slipping back into the groove on impact with potholes or when pulling Wicked-Cool skids.

I probably shouldn't have overtightened to create the groove in the first place, but is there a solution? File it down and start over?

I've got the same CSB - I've noticed that this weekend.

    I've been over-tightetening too.

    New chain? Half link chain?

    I think that'll work

    What he says below too!

  • Will chain tugs fit on the track ends?

  • ^^ Glad to see I'm not alone in the slight-inconvenience

Never tried them so don't have any to hand to try. But they'll probably do the trick for <£10 at LBS?

  • see what apollo went for, he had similiar porky ends on gara and was struggling with proper chaintugs.
he did find some in the end, unsure of the brand though

  • if not, shorter chain - might not work if its already adjusted for flipflopping for the track though...

  • I'll give him an ask if the LBSs come up dry.

  • An updated picture of my Mielec Cycle Speedway bike with Shimano Deore cranks, E.thirteen 34t chainring, Weinmann DP3000 rims on Miche Primato hubs wrapped in Maxxis TT Larsen 1.9" XC tyres, Izumi chain and a 108.9 freewheel.

It has taken a wee beating since the last picture too
