Black Langster cranks off eBay + Tester approved Token TK866CM 103mm + Mielec Gash = Fail.
The listing said they needed a 103mm BB.
Measurements say what I've got is a 40mm chainline. I think the seller was wrong. Too late to nerg.

Arttu, you sir deserve a medal

Anyone got 170mm track cranks with a 144BCD to fit a 103mm BB?
BB was new and I don't think Evans will do swapsies once fitted. Forgot to price match too.

I'd say this is the best I've seen so far.
Worth the wait.

Does such a thing even exist? the closest thing would be a old 144BCD campy road cranks with the ring on the outside. the best thing to do would be get a 107 bottom bracket and sell the 103 to some idiot who wants track chainline using non track cranks.

Hmm. Bought the Token new because I thought it would be the Right One.
Loads of 144BCD cranks still available but not necessarily for a 103mm axle.

Apologies for slight blurrycam. Ring and ring bolts are as received, crank bolt is 8mm Allen with plastic surround, came with the BB.

no clue what it is unfortunately
sounds like you would be better off with 107
or, if you want to keep the bb, you need to look for some sugino messengers

Hey guys i was thinking of doing a bit of DIY paintwork on my mielec frame before i build it up, something kind of similar to the seat/chain stays on this low but in some lurid shade of pink. I thought about masking the whole frame off and spray painting it but that seems like a lot of hassle especially considering i got a clear coat on my frame that i'd probably have to sand off as well? An alternative i thought about was just getting some vinyl cut in the right shapes and applying that, although obviously that won't be very durable and will be quite difficult to wrap cleanly around the tubes. Anyone done anything like this before/ have any input on it? cheers!

But that looks disgusting.
-
• #3467
haha i can't dispute that all the decals over the top do, but I like the contrast on the seat/chain stays. Plus if it does turn out disgusting i'll have even more anti theft potential!

Agree, it's horrible... Whatever you do, get a professional paint job.
-
• #3469
I think a professional paintjob might be a bit wasted in this case, I sanded and rattle canned the forks for the bike myself and while i'm not displeased with the results it's far from perfect. I wouldn't do the front triangle at all probably just the rear one but it might be a waste of time considering how quickly grit and stuff would mess it up.

Fair enough... Don't quite get it, but fair enough.

• #3471
Just shit on your frame, it won't get nicked and some people might like it.
-
• #3472
there is 3M Vinyl for giving cars new color, it is easy to stick onto and with hairdryer esay to pull around corners, this might be your ticket.

Why do the stays have to be asymmetrical on the fat bike?

Why do the stays have to be asymmetrical on the fat bike?
this was discussed earlier, coz of chainline n sutin.

Less dish on the spokes and the cassette needs to start about 2.3" from the middle so the chain misses the tyre.
Or what he said ^
