  • Since new year's I've started to invest my time/money/passion into track racing. My current frame is a steel one and it satisfies my need but I for long lusted after a proper modern track bike so here's my effort.

Most of the parts and frameset arrived today so I've just unboxed everything and mocked what should be my dream track bike :)

It's missing the conti gp4000s tire, fizik microtex tape, campagnolo pista crank, fizik kurve saddle, kmc devil 101 chain and shimano 105 pedals.

  • Nice, it looks good so far, i like those t1s a lot, one day i will have one for sure.

  • Nice one! Will it be raced at Herne Hill?

  • or skidded round hoxton square ?

  • great frame, but it deserves deep wheels

  • @bart I'm not in the UK

@eingang these will be my training wheels since I need to get to the track by bike too so a clincher is best for me. I have a tubular 80mm crabon set for race day

  • congrats to that bike, enjoy it cause its more than just a nice ride. maybe switch to track drops, but that only a suggestion.

  • Almost done, need to adjust the fit (bars, saddle) and put the chain. Sorry for the iCrappy pics btw

  • nice mate- but set it ujp with a quality chain-sedis or renold are killer.

  • desticker the rims and it will be perfect

  • Got around to take some pics at my training session today :)

  • Love it!

  • 'proper track' lol you need to say that on here
    do the job aye,
looks like a nice place to race,
    where?
vids please its dingy over here now, getting track time is a weather lottery

  • desticker the rims and it will be perfect

    you got that right!

it is a proper bike for someone that was riding a chromoly leader with relaxed geometry :P

It's in Caieiras, Brazil. I mainly post here because my sister lives in London and I get to visit her every other month so I'm quite attached to this place.

I'll try to get a vid done when there's a race here otherwise it's only me and other 2 friends riding, this velodrome is basically my private track, only a handfull of people go there to train wich is sad. The cool thing is that I get to go there throughout the year since the weather here is very stable but sometimes it gets very HOT.

  • Love it!

Thanks nuts, not only it is a great looking frame but it's a dream to ride!

  • Fuck it.I'm moving to Brazil for 4 months.

  • Hey you are more then welcome, the more people using this track the better, it gets boring seeing/training/racing with the same 4...8 faces all the time.

  • god if only....
here we are this year ,sunny days are only 4 months away

  • Wow... only 4 - 8 faces! Olympics here made the track at Herne Hill super popular with newcomers.

I would recommend you start a bike jumble there. Srsly.

  • yeah and this is because we are actually trying to encourage the fixed crowd to start going to the velodrome and see what is about.

I would love to move next to a velodrome like Herne Hill where there's people that actually put time and effort into the sport.

  • is there a track cycling league? is there a cycling governing body?
are there any coaches? clubs? who built the track and what were there objectives? these things are all embedded in the U.K scene

  • Good to know.
My flatmate is from São Paulo, he's going back soon and has invited me to come and spend some time.
    Sounds (even more) appealing.

  • Is the velodrome even open?
Jut read some news (late 2011) about the "perfeitura" of Caieiras shutting the place down... ?
