How much? is it drilled? and whats the clearence like?
Finding a fitting headset is proving very difficult, ebay only throw up 1 or 2 that are in the UK and none of them are going to be sub £50...

Very tight clearances, with a 23 about 3-5mm... you wont get a 25 in... 25 quid forum price!
Personally I'd go for the headset option, it'll be worth the hassle and expense...

Id love to go with the headset option but i need a stack height of 37mm max, the campag ones are all 39mm, velo oranges offerings are 41mm
having a porn dilema

Hmmm.... can you not get away with having it slightly too short? As in not all the way through the locknut- it'll still be fine.

• #31
Also bin off and spacers between locknut and top race/cup thing?

Will go get a second opinion from LMNH or somewhere today then... if not i may well take those forks
Chrome and blue will still look good

Heard no good or bad news from LMNH after dropping it off yesterday, hopefully a good sign... will find out in an hour or so
-

Dude, 37mm is easy to find! Check Velobase, on there you can see a lot of stack heights. Dura Ace 7410 is 37mm I believe.

In a french thread?

Also, its bad news, just too short,
guy at LMNH is keeping hold of it and is going to try track me down a headset and see what he can find
Much appreciated!

So, sanding down the stem has worked a treat, my arm kills but its pretty much there, will finish tomorrow.
wheels fit fine and secure only 10 mins with a file on the axle, was a tiny amount needed to slide them on
Waiting for a seatpost to arrive from france and i need to get down to micycle to fit the headset..
If you require a french sized quill stem i have one just incase.

What clamp and lenth jd?
Clamp is 25.4 and length is either 80 or 90mm can double check.
And the steerer size is 22.0 as opposed to 22.2
