  • OK skoota. Just dont want to get into a big barney about inteference with the throw in nights. Newington has five nights a week that are free for league games though innit.

    No league, no... ;)
Monday nights are totally up for grabs tho', this goes back to the original dreaded B-Cat Night discussions... League takes precedence over throw-ins on a Monday night...

If this fixture happens at Newt...

  • You still think? Mondays is its own thing now I feel, and are just as popular as Wednesdays now for throw ins.

And as I said, there are five other nights free. Tuesday nights you dont even have to compete with basketballers for the space.

  • Yeah, I agree with kev. Monday's are just as much souths night as Wednesday.

Actually Tuesday is the one night of the week were both north and south might be in use (ladies Tuesday's, if not beginners, down south)...

Having said that, it's going to be really hard to get 12 together, so if has to be a throw in night, so be it.

:wonders if it's time to ask the council for a non beginners west night?!

  • :wonders if it's time to ask the council for a non beginners west night?!

They might do a second night - seeing as how many people are showing up on Thursdays now, they might be willing to expand.

  • Ladies Tuesdays are not happening anymore and no beginners have turned up on Tuesdays either so Souths is not in use at all on that day.

  • So john can you please try for the 29th? I dont think i will have a full squad, but then it is looking unlikely that anytime will be a full squad. Also did someone mention a clever diary software?

  • Its called Doodle - http://www.doodle.com/

Easy way to organise league games, worked for us last season.
Or else use a google docs spreadsheet.

  • thanks kev.

  • Can niall and kit please pm me their emails asap?? Cheers
    nik

  • Niall isn't on here as far as I know.

    This probably still holds.

  • Where are we posting results and confirmed fixtures?

  • kit .... niall where are you guys ???/

  • Antonio, did you call them?

  • i know im super late, but can i join the league, i joined the forum after resisting its evils since it started basicly just to join the league.

  • also this is probs the wrong bit of the thing to ask but i have to start somewhere.

    sorry.

  • The picking has already happened so its too late to join a team.
You can put yourself on the subs list, here:
    http://www.lfgss.com/thread94820.html

  • And in fact I think there might be a team looking for a sub.

  • Thanks I will

  • John, would it be possible to post the original line ups in the timetable/fixtures thread, just so we don't have to search here for who's in what team?

  • Chukker's Fukkers v Dragon Slayers

An internecine battle for the heart of the Mighty Phoenix.

    Monday, 5th November
7:30pm, Mitchison Bike Polo Court, Islington

  • It's on the calendar.

Unless I'm otherwise engaged, I'll come and ref. But I wouldn't mind some company to take turns/keep me entertained/goal refs

Which reminds me, I'll put the special rules up this weekend (timing, rolling subs, etc)

  • By the way, teams should consider that bringing a beer or two for the ref is no bad thing.
