i'm more interested in a league V stitch on badge
#srslyYep, this is happening, its what the reg fee is for.
I dont want magic to sponsor the league, or a beer company for that matter. We dont want anything in return at all, its just a gesture.
Hopefully will make collecting reg fees easier this year. (Some people still owe for League IV, and we were outof pocket).
So collect your free magic head when you pass go/pay your £5. Or not, your choice.

Nice gesture, appreciated.

Ok, well if Flat Cap get back to us, I'll say no to that (I haven't heard anything anyway, beyond the initial introduction from Jono)
-
• #105
So we're saying no to free beer then?
-
• #106
I am. I don't see the point.
If someone was offering a purpose built facility for us, then we could talk. I'm not selling the league out for a few beers but everyone has their price.

I fail to see any outside value in the league currently to be honest (zero visibility, under 50 people involved, etc), no-one is going to offer us a facility (you'll have to fight/work for it).
We should all play dodgeball instead: http://dodgeballuk.com/ (two London leagues and rising, public and private funding, access to loads of indoor spaces, etc).
You could take the beer and built a partnership over time maybe? You would need a working league website again though.

Cambridge stopped drinking beer at polo 2 years ago...

London has more fun that Cambridge.

I'd take the beer, depending on what they asked in return... I don't mind taking the shares of Vidal and everyone else that doesn't want sponsorship?

Don't pubs sponsor local amateur football teams? Kind of like how Tim Hortons sponsors a million little league/softball league teams in Canada.
Too bad we don't have Timmies here, I love beer and donuts.
