on a brighter note, (happy holiday post) I'm doing a East-to-West Pyrenees tour and the day before yesterday by pure chance while riding we met up with a 64 year old French bike collector, rode up the (absolutely frigging fabulous) col de Pourtalet together chatting. Superb.
