^ Yes it must be an original 80's model as it also says "Kashimax Aero" on the side, not just "Kashimax"
Track Supermarket say... "This started out in the 80's as a BMX model, which actually had a NJS stamp under the shell... Re-released in 08, due to high demand... Standard 44mm rail... Note: re-release has a different logo to the 80's original and no NJS stamp.

The burning question still remains:
Flite or Concor? ;)

on an NJS frame, a Concor any day.
You could also consider the middle ground a Concor Light....
best of both worlds??? -

I do find Concor comfier than a flite for longer rides.. But then, I have seen loads of njs builds with them.
Decisions....

Aero! ;-)

Wanted a comfier one for longer rides and track visits...
Looks like it may have to be a flite ti

That is nice, good lines and set up and my seatpost was definitely not NJS looking at that one.

Peloton brothers!
Lovely frame (similar size to mine, too - short legs, represent!). Interested to see what you do with it.

Well, that is pretty much it, there's a new saddle on it's way for the longer rides/track outings as the Kashimax is strictly for the sadistic days..

The Five-Golds are really that bad, huh? I have a padded Aero on mine and it's been fine up up 120km (other parts of riding a stiff, twitchy track bike that far were hurting me long before the saddle!) but I've not tried the FG.

Ahh, it's not that bad, but 2+ hours in it isn't great. Fine on the track though..

Swapped the saddle, new chain, rx1's and grips. Still can't see the sparkle though..
Just need Toshi doubles now...

Nice, told you about the Flite, looks great.
If I were you I'd put a Pearl stem on it and fully taped bars, won't ruin the looks and is more comfortable. -

The thing that swung me on the flite is it's got a slight pattern to it, less bulky than a concor too.. It's never going to be getting hench miles put on it so stem and bars can stay as they are. Track session two next week!
no. the njs padded kashimaxes are expensive and hard to get, you must have had one of the older kinds, hang on to it...
hence last sentence in my post as well
