  • ^ I was digging out such bogies here in Manchester for much of this morning

  • Anyone want to meet up on the eleventh of December around ten am, somewhere central? I don't currently have a job to drive to but will happily join the queuing :)

  • think this could do with a new posting. otherwise some poor fellow may miss out and get on their bike.

by the way, I'm bidding for a WWII Sherman tank. If i win I'll be cruising down the A1 using all the lanes at once. Amy even take out that pesky central barrier thing on the slope down to Archway. Here's to 3 gallons-to-a-mile!

  • Needs a few CUNT stickers and a massive I BRAKE FOR NOBODY across then back.

  • ^ good thinking - hope i win the auction

  • I'm bidding for a WWII Sherman tank.

Dibs sitting on the back drinking whisky.

  • ^ why not get rid of those unused pavements and get another lane each way!
    More lanes/more cars/more speed!

  • Does this even work?

  • Does what work Ed?

  • The whole drive to work nonsense.

  • It's not meant to 'work' it is an ironic blog.
Make of it whatever you like

  • Depends on your goal, Ed- it makes cyclists look smug very, very effectively.

Luckily that's not a standard insult hurled at us, so it's not serving to confirm any prejudices.

  • I liked the bit where the angry teenager says he couldn't walk to school if the barriers separating the road from the pavement were removed. I am glad these people aren't old enough to vote yet

This, surely you don't need them on both sides. Pedestrians don't even pay road tax so how does the government justify doubling up on segregated facilities?

How did the ped groups lobby for such privilege?

  • There is a genuine drive to work day in Russia.

They didn't. Pavements are just a vehicle used by footwear manufacturers to encourage more people to buy more shoes more often. Double pavement = double shoe sales. FACT.
