Joe, I just want a bike in which I can wear casual shoes with.
Well if you get this peda/strap combo:
It will fuck up your shoes. No shoe will last more than a month before they are permanently marked on the top. Just get some Oddessy Twisted pedals and some Holdfast straps (or similar).
I have been down this route before when I got my Panasonic in 2007. Trust me. Don't get pedals like that for riding around town in.
