That's what I love about it, the overwhelming sense of doom and impending judgement. I love the pictures of mankind frolicking in heaven with all Hov's creatures, the lions, the bears et al. Has great pseudo-science sections too.

judgement and doom is all fine and dandy for those that believe. what gets me is the stuff that affects "this life". was once given a copy of the Watchtower to read while waiting (went to collect an ebay purchase, imagine my surprise when the address was The Watchtower, Mill Hill, I was more than a little nervous ringing the bell that day... ) and the main piece was about how we needn't concern ourselves with human suffering and ecological collapse. all that bad shit is supposed to happen, don't worry about it. don't bother trying to make it better. there will be loads of bad shit, it gets worse, nearly everyone dies and then the world is suddenly sunny again, and we - the chosen few - will live happily ever after. all nicely illustrated by a happy aryan family frolicking in a wildflower meadow.

the thought of that still gives me the creeps.

You're lucky. All I got was a poo in a plastic cup that someone had used to block up the toilet hole in the ground. I wasn't given it though, I found it.

What?! When I got arrested they didn't give me anything to read, just left me there to twiddle my thumbs trying not to stare at the toilet for hours. You can just ask them for something to read?! I'll remember this for next time.

Got a Raleigh RSW, in a bad state as she wanted her own girly bike. I found it on Gumtree, told her to go and look at it, with a list of what to check for. Needless to say, she didn't check any of the simple things i explained, and took my "Go look at it" for "You must buy this now".

It had recently been repainted, but the seller neglected to mention that her husband had rattle canned it, left the bearings and half the parts on in the process. Still, we went for it, i gave her a list of exactly what to buy, and she never got around to it.

Now she's given it away to a mate in a shit state when it had potential, then told everyone on a FB cycling group that when i moved out i stole all her bikes (which i've had for over 2 years before meeting her).

I'm not bitter, i just hope she gets hit by a lorry. Full of razorblades and lemons. And grenades ducktaped to sledgehammers.

Currently still riding my plug after 4-5 years and can confirm she's spectacular and my ex tried riding her and said the plug was twitchy. My ex was clearly a buffoon.
