What about bikes lovingly built out of expensive rare parts for that loved one who now rides with her new man (who rides a Trek)

I currently own a cursed Tandem ('65 Pashley Tourmaster)...
Prior to me acquiring it it wrecked 32 marriages and countless relationships. So far so good as yet though.

Oh. Is he still driving that Renault Megane? Yeah, can I just read you something from Top Gear magazine?

Lolz even if bollocks.

So I've been planning to build a light tourer for SWMBO. Tempting fate? It's going to cost a bloody packet.

the idea is to post any bikes (or parts) that you have tried to build/built for your gf/bf/wife/husband before it went sour,
I derailled a similar thread last year with this;
It was built for the loveliest girl in London, in fact possibly in the world.
But the relationship hasn't started yet, so hasn't broken.
I've just given it an annual service. And a rack and a stand.

I have never 'subscribed' to a thread. Is it nice?

Kind of like Readers Digest really

When I was first arrested, the thought of spending many hours in a cell with nothing to do but ponder my fate and impending bollocking from my mother once released, if I ever was, proved too much, so I asked for any reading material to pass the time of day and night. The cops rustled up a stack of Readers Digests. Never read it before or since, but I read those puppies from cover to cover, word for drab word.

Lucky you, when I was arrested I was only given drinking awareness leaflets to read in the cell.
I actually enjoy reading Watchtower for some reason, always pleased when the guy comes round. I just grab it, try and get rid of him quick-fast and delve into some witnessing.

There are no leaflets on soliciting so far as I know.
-

Watchtower can really give me the spooks though. I find it quite disturbing.

That's what I love about it, the overwhelming sense of doom and impending judgement. I love the pictures of mankind frolicking in heaven with all Hov's creatures, the lions, the bears et al. Has great pseudo-science sections too.

Don't they just give you a copy of Iceberg Slim's "Pimp"?

Sort-of On topic:
A female friend of mine, who I had dated, got hit by a car riding a bike I'd lent her.
Luckily it was written off (Trek Hybrid, what was I thinking?!) (oh, and she was fine).

Hijacking this thread to ask if there are any ladies on here who'd like to order a totally awesome lfgss ladies' forum jersey, designed by our own fair Scoot.
Final unit cost depends upon how many we order.
List and details on last page of this thread: http://www.lfgss.com/thread81550.html

Hijacking this thread...
Adebisi does not approve you of derailing the Prison thread, catch you in the yard fish, be shanked up.

OK, OK, I will add my tuppence worth. Will you let me off then?
I've had one bicycle built up for me by a boyfriend, though I chose the frame (I'm far too fussy/controlling to accept a surprise bike).
He also gave me lots of helpful pointers (READ: told me precisely) as to what components I should get, for which I will always be grateful.

Fingers crossed! Perhaps you are Cyrano de Bergerac and the Claude Butler is your Christian de Neuvillette. She will be enamored at first by Claude's trim lines and agile gait only to realise in time the author of his charms was you all along... and the rest will be romantic history.

If you have moobs, maybe you can have one too?
So I've been thinking about this and haven't found an equivalent thread so thought I might start it.
If any of you have seen the Museum of Broken Relationships you might see where I got the idea from.
Repurposed for this thread, basically the idea is to post any bikes (or parts) that you have tried to build/built for your gf/bf/wife/husband before it went sour, or bikes they have left abandoned (a symbol of the relationship), or that were the spoils of war after a custody battle, or ones you have destroyed in fury/revenge, etc...
A bit of a story would be the most interesting part, so please include your story...
I thought it might be interesting/hilarious.
Unfort I can't go first, no guy has offered to build me a bike, so I built my own. Maybe that's my story?! :)
