Could any kind TNRC'er not doing the Randonee lend me a fancy bright light? Can collect, and can repay in gratitude, beer and jelly snakes.
(Ben accused me of being 'the worst illuminated person he'd ever seen' last night. It cut. It cut deep)

cross posting huh?
I have a Cateye Opticube you may borrow.
Provide your own pair of AAs. -

Ooops. Caught out. Just trying to maximise my chances! I've got a cateye thingy that I used the other day - not sure if it is an opticube. It is pretty bright (when I put charged batteries in it) but the light is a bit diffuse, and I have been struggling on the lanes with it. How do you find it?

This things pretty bright, as bright as the Smart light I was using on Tuesday, I only stopped using it cause its a bit fiddly and ugly and I'm a bike tart, as you know.

Katie,
Also available to borrow is my Exposure Strada which kicks out a lot of light (one penetrating beam and one wide-angled beam combined in a casing a little smaller than a Hope Pepsi-can-thing. Run-time 6 hours at full illumination. Lithium-ion internal rechargeababe battery.Sadly can't wangle the time off to join you folks.

Oooh - spoilt for choice. That does sounds like a good bet for a long night ride. Will PM
(PS - have you seen the BToB Ride of Ride thread? 3rd October)

I've got a Hope Vision one you can borrow for the next month, as I'm off to the US with work. The downside is that you'll have to collect from Beckenham, and I'm not around on Saturday.
Oh, or LH will be at ladies drinks on Wednesday if you are going and can pick it up off her?

Randonee at night sounds good. I was planning to do the 2013 version. I was laughed at by a geared bike user the other day when i said I'd do it single speed. It is nice to read that it isnt as hilly as i was told. good luck next week .

After riding the most recent not hilly TNRC on a reduced GI (70") fixed my ankle was not feeling too happy - again. So I'll be riding geared I think.

Looks like I'm out for this because I hadn't put in a blooming calendar entry for my would be sister-in-law's wedding celebration. Very annoyed. Might just do another weekend on my jack. KT if you want to borrow my Exposure then just ask :)
