German film: Reminded me of "Enter the Void", but crappier.

Great weekend, wish I could have hung around a bit longer last night though.

Cheers Brendt, Laura and all the volunteers for another fab year.
Bring on the 10th Anniversary fest next year. How about a screening at the Cochrane Theatre? For old times sake. -

I'd like to say thanks to everyone who helped put on the event, it was a great weekend!

Just realised my two posts in this thread were a bit negative. Some of the films I saw over the weekend were excellent. BMX ladies film loads of fun. Paralympic Spanish track cyclist with one arm and one leg completely inspirational. 'Another Bike Theft Experiment' showed in a very humourous way the manner in which people never challenge potential thievery. The one with the two girls 'chunting' was great too, bizarre! The film about Georgina Terry also brill - a woman with Polio spotting a gap in the bike market and making a living on it. And the criterium around the apartment was a real short-but-fun moment.
Was sorry to miss both the Irish themed screenings yesterday, even had tickets, but the good weather at the polo tournament won me over. Not going to be many nice days between now and spring, so wanted to make best of it.

So many highlights for me.
The Ras Tailteann and Shay Elliot films yesterday were great films. Inspirational and heartbreaking.
ditto on all the films Kev mentioned above.
Loved Smile for Future. The reaction of those kids to BMX guys was priceless. A bit of joy in some tough times.
Cross-dressed was hilarious. The perfect short. Made me want to head over to Oregon right away...
Bikes Bread and wine, the same. Fantastic characters and what has to be the most fun tough ride out there.
Special mention for Tour de Tan. Funny film. Orange fever!
Really enjoyed volunteering this year, big thanks to Laura for all her hard work. -

One of them was in Irish, right? I was gutted when I heard that, felt a pang of regret at choosing to stay at the polo. My Gaeilge has really faded with time and it would have been nice to see a cycling related feature, to re-learn some rothar-related words.

How can I get that from you ?

well its on a hard drive... and I'm not really supposed to show it anywhere, but if a few people want to see it, lets organize a movie night.

A few forum peeps have projectors (some I am convinced for more nefarious purposes)
-
• #113
Well, it can wait a bit.. until the 2012 screenings are finished, if that's the caveat...
-
• #114
Yeah, I think it's nice to wait a while before re-screenings otherwise it negates the purpose of having a special week. Last year we had a forum film night at LMNH around Christmas time maybe we could do the same again.

Some people will still be waiting for the burritos ?

Sorry man, but it was one burrito per person and they were nice enough to give them to us for free anyway.
If it's any consolation they were pretty fuckin' delicious!
