Yay!
Twas a proper job getting the Dynamic stem round the squarest part of the bend but these are now installed. No riding yet but they seem as much of an improvement as I'd hoped in every position, compared to classic Cinelli jobs.

I think I've figured out why I really don't get on with my Highway Ones. They're too wide at 38cm. Does anyone make compacts in 36?

I'm not sure but I'll take your somas off you if you find some!

Are Bontrager Spotter bars in stock anywhere in 40cm? I can't seem to see any, and my 44cm bars are far too wide for my slender shoulders.

From Wiggle - are all the bars now going to be compact?
Wiggle have since contacted me and confirmed that the shape of the current bend on the Piega has indeed been "softened and swept to feature a more curved appearance" compared to the older angular anatomic bend.
I bought a set and can further confirm that the shape is IDENTICAL to the Deda RHM 02 bars that I also own. The Piegas are a great option if you want to fit a shorter reach, modern curve into a 26.0 mm quill stem.

Well, Deda Piegas and Bontrager SSRs are out of stock everywhere. Nittos are too expensive and the rest of options seem to be available only in USA.
The most decent choice seem to be the Procrafts at Hibike.com or bike-components.de , but they are about 35GBP with shipping.
Any bike shops in London that might have anything?

^Wiggle currently have Piegas in stock in all sizes...

Piegas are measured outside-outside if I'm not mistaken, so the 38cm version would work out as roughly 36cm effective c-c?

Yeah, but it´s the anatomic version.

Condor had the Piegas and Speciale in stock about a month ago, and Cycle Surgery (Spitalfield) had some silver ones (can't remember the name).

Gaz I think the Noodle should/could work for you- want to try my spare pair?

Yeah, but it´s the anatomic version.
I really wish we could get to the bottom of this! I thought anything up to 40cm wide was the compact, and then anything over that was anatomic?

• #293
Yes that's true. Swear down, I have now bought 2 sets of 40cm Piega bars from Wiggle for my slender shoulders and they're nice and compact.
-
• #294
Well I usaually call anatomic or compact to the bars as this picture shows.

After reading a review on Wiggle from a customer who said they ordered some Piegas in 42cm and received compacts, I've ordered some as a test. Watch this space.

If someone could test this theory with a set of 44cm that'd be great.
I just bought the last 44cm Spatr on the web I think. Hope they don't stop making them.

I have some 44cm Spatrs I will shortly be removing from a bike and selling. Buy now! Limited stock! Last chance! etc.
Too much hassle with Deda, does anyone on here have any Soma Highway Ones for sale?
