Festival Welfare opportunities
Safe & Sound Welfare needs volunteers for Creamfields festival
If you've got any relevant qualifications in health / social care / care / counselling etc and fancy free trip to Creamfields to help provide welfare services ( non medical) to over enthusiastic ravers drop me a line here or hit me up on Baz@safeandsoundwelfare.co.uk.
You need a current CRB / PVG check.
We will feed you and pay your travel. You'll do one 8 hour shift a day and the rest of the time is your own.
Want in on an exciting social enterprise?
Have a shit ton of empathy and a non judgemental approach and fancy doing some person centred care?
http://www.safeandsoundwelfare.co.uk
Dates are 22.08.14 to 25.08.14
We can give training around NPS / Legal Highs / Drugs Awareness / De-escalation techniques / Crisis Intervention.
All this shit looks great on your CV.
What you waiting for!
It is demanding but rewarding work
Cheers
Baz

I just got back from V Fest in Stafford.
It was way better than I expected whilst still being horrendously commercial and fascistic.
Turns out that being permanently fucked up on class a's makes things fun. Who knew?

Twas fun.

do you have any delicious drugs left?
-
• #588
Obviously not, that would imply that some went untaken which would be a ludicrous proposition.

fair point. and well done for not stabbing ed fucking sheeran in the throat in a drug fuelled act of mercy.

Saw the first thirty seconds of him and ran away. It was quite funny as there was a completely naked, ripped, black guy on someone's shoulders, right at the front. Waving his dick at Ed and getting on camera as often as he could. Good work.

Lady moog got some free tickets to Bestival but we've no way of getting down there. Is anyone driving with x2 seats free? Will pay equal share of petrol/ferry/beer...

Today is June 1st. It would have been the first day of the Stonehenge festival, had that not been killed by the pigs and Mrs. Thatch.
I was there at the last one in 1984 and it was superb. Hawkwind headlined and the drugs and other entertainments were top notch.
It lasted for the whole of June.
I was also there in 1985 when the pigs were pulling pregnant women through bus windscreens, killing dogs and taking children into care.
The idea of having to pay half a weeks wages to see 'Knye', or any other cunt for that matter, makes me feel fucking sick.
The title of this thread is spot on.
So I raise a glass to Stonehenge free festival. May it live on in our hearts. -

Is it because she's really tall?
Women don't just keep on growing forever you know'Did chortle.

Economist has an article this week basically saying music festivals are where boring old bastards go to watch rock dinosaurs and industry darlings. All to the detriment of young upcoming acts, starved of oxygen and denied the opportunities of previous generations.
Spiv Britain. -

Is Roskilde 'spiv Britain' as well?

i too am a little tired of our national broadcaster's immersion (using our licence fee - so it must be what we all want, right?) in music festivals and events (R1 big weekend)
mainly due to the vapid children presenting with an aura of reverence; they fucking annoy me
thanfully there's still an undergroundish movement where droogs can still get blasted by the likes of RAM (although andy c is at V this year) - it's just part of the music biz, darling
So I appear to be going to Standon Calling.
Is it any good? It seems to be the usual headliners (PE, Maximo etc) who I've done before - and then the casual lazy bookers DJ Format, Greg Wilson, Craig Charles etc
Full list is here: http://www.standon-calling.com/line-up
Name me 3 people I should go and see please (post 8pm as technically I'm 'working') or things to do...
