Oh snap! These look great. Got a rear built on a Stans rim, and with all of London's shitty roads, it's still rolling smooth.
You need a 6800 group to match the rims now... -

Commuted on this past couple of days/nights.. Feels nice riding a super sweet fixie again actually . Got a couple of bits to swap around tomorrow before finally declaring the build "fini"
A black 46t 75 chainring and a rando for the back I think.

Yeah s65, been waitin and waiting for a cheap one for ages, was the last piece really! Have always liked the shape.
-
• #785
yeah same here...
would prefer these blue pedals though :)9.9/10 would bang
-
• #786
They yours?
-
• #787
nope, I missed out on them on ebay... I figured the blue would look good for the Goldsprint with it's subtle blue/purple shine.

To be honest I really like the red/yellow ones but always on the look out for decent Atacs

Looks Proper, T. Nice one!
Those pedals certainly stand out! A bit "safety pedal" colour-wise, but I like that and the top-tube sticker helps a bit, as does the corima i'd guess. Plus, they're such good pedals it doesn't really matter which ones you have. Those blues would fit very nice, tho.
I've only got greys and grey/reds i could offer as swap, so not much help. -

Hey Tom, does the S65 only suit round rails, or will it take oval/crabon as well?
-
• #791
Not sure, seems to be plenty of bolt, and the clamp is a reasonable length so should be supportive... I haven't got an oval or carbon railed saddle otherwise I'd test it out.
You mirin?
-
• #792
No worries, thanks.
Yeah, indeed I am, it looks good up there^^^... I'm looking for reasons against the obvious thomson route, there aren't many, but the Nitto looks good and will match the dura ace stem on the colnago nicely. Just trying to gauge whether the clamps will hold the wider rail, as ideally need option of both. -
• #793
I definitely think they're a nice option, am sure the clamp will be reet.
Bit of a different angle here.

It's great to be back riding this bike, rides super sweet, just need to get used to riding fixed again and improve my fitness/weight to make the most of it.

Sigh

Been a while since last update as not been riding much recently due to ongoing injuries.
Wanted to try a steel fork and a brake for a while so decided to go for it.
So sensible.

Your words cut deep fam.
I reckon brakeless and matching front wheel and the steel fork will be popping.

^ what Apollo said. Still can't believe that you want to rock the non-wound up version.
These just happened, anyone in the market for wheels? Need to shift the DT Swiss i have on there pronto.
