  • Go Eddie!

  • dame laura trott on the boards

  • Hammer time

  • will be an exciting scratch race.

  • No TV! What is going on?

  • Trott second in the IP and now overall. But with her stronger events to come. Fingers very crossed.

  • Mens Keirin qualifiers at the moment

  • When I watched Trott the first time in the Devil I thought she was just hanging on and barely making it every bell lap but the fact it's actually a deliberate tactic is amazing.

Rather than get in a shit fight up front and risk people coming over the top just hang back and pick off everyone because you know you can out-kick them.

Dame Trott, if you don't mind!

She's done that exact thing in the last three devils in various championships.
All she has to do is keep beating the slowest rider, seems quite logical !

All she has to do ... listen to me !

  • from Yahoo sports, Rivals look beyond london as Brits snare more gold. Fuck Bauge is a bitter bunny.

  • nice post adoubletap - shows it doesnt happen over night.

that kind of graft is lost on the reality television wanna be famous types.

    Fantastic read that.

It's not logical, it requires repeated sprint and recovery. The riders at the back aren't really slower, the whole group is moving at exactly the same average speed, they are however protected from drag by the rides in the front. The Polish girl tried to sprint from the back every elimination lap from the start and was looking good until one lap she found herself boxed in....and was out.

  • Hooray, Philip of Trinidad is in the final as the Chinese rider got relegated.

my own experiences at herne hill are much like the poles
looking good, looking good, looking good
    darn boxed in
    OUT
it was fun for that first lap though ! had plenty of time to drink tea in the stands afterwards, which made up for my early exit

best cycling blog on the net by some margin. Brilliant stuff on a daily basis

Trott uses positioning and the ability to get through gaps as much as repeated kicks though. She does well in the devil because of her mad bike handling skills.

  • Complete legend and a really nice bloke.... (the one on the left that is!)

  • Fuckin BBC online player crashes constantly!

  • ^ he let you hold his gold?

    Or is that chocolate money?
