Fortesman's no the one to do it, but I hope someone tries to do to Bauge was Kenny did to him in the Worlds and take him flat out from the start. I don't think I've ever seen someone so blown, like Roche on the top of La Plagne

The world moved on and they got left behind. But they've put a programme in place and are starting to produce the goods, like their silver medal yesterday in the WTP.

It was weird hearing one of the USA women's TP riders talk about how proud they were coming where they did ahead of teams with much greater resources, which I'm not sure I've ever heard a US athlete talk like that. I'm guessing track cycling is a pretty marginalised discipline over there
