What cog and lockring do you use with your miche hubs?
I'm looking to change to a 17T cog and want to keep things simple. Cheers -

Standard sprocket mate and the hubs come with a lock ring.....

Any tips on repacking the Miche hubs? Done over 8000km on these in 6 months and the only issue has been one broken spoke. Highly reccomended.

Might be looking for a rear wheel if there was anything going Varno?

Does the 30mm track clincher wheelset come with any sprockets/lockrings?
-

If the front wheel can be 2-cross or radially spoked, is the rear 2-cross spoked? (Hate MIS-matched spoke patterns on wheelsets) cheers x

Rears always crossed. You can do either with the fronts...Jim.

But 2x or 3x?

But 2x or 3x?
Technically 2x is better with 24/28 spokes (usually), and 3x with 32/36 spokes. Because you want spokes leaving the hub perpendicular to radial.
Sorry to butt in. Nice sounding wheelsets for the monies BTW.

Received my wheels a couple of weeks back, but I didn't get the chance to ride them until over the weekend. Really pleased - the Miche hubs spin nice and smooth, Mach 1 rims feel solid, and the radial lacing looks rad. Cheers Varno!

I've got the 30mm clinchers in black (they're great, by the way - proper solid), I'm rather tempted to make 'em silver. What's the best way of getting the black finish off the rims? Or is that a ridiculous dimwit thing to do?
-
• #420
Yep....a lot of polishing mate...
-
• #421
Probably just leave 'em black then... :)

I have done something similar but regretted it in the long run, was some pretty pricey DT swiss rims too!
Basically nitromors to strip the paint, then Autosol/Brasso and a lot of elbow grease. Start with something abrasive down to a soft cotton cloth for buffing.
You can also get proper polishing kit, with abrasive pastes and buffing mops to stick on power tools. You can easily get rims extremely shiny, like mirror. But it is very fleeting as the aluminium soon turns grey and dull again.

Can you do a rear with 130mm spacing?
Just ordered a set of Mach1 on Miche - all black. Looking forward to it.
