Really nice! Specifically like you sticked with downtube shifters. Wheelset is a great match too..overall stunning!

Downtube shifters tidy up the cockpit cables. Thought you had some retro intergrated cable system for a sec !!

Got the BB sorted (I was being a div) so I’ve just had my first ride out in this. It was lovely but wow did it reveal how unfit i am 😂

That frame is delicious 👌🏼

Thanks! I'm very pleased with it. The build’s a bit rattier than I'd like but I'll be sorting that out over the next few months

Some deep section carbon wheels on that would be amazing.

For sure! That’s the plan, nothing crazy but maybe 25-30mm. I’ve just had some chinese carbon rims laced up for my gravel bike so if they last well I’ll probably get something similar. I’d love a Columbus fork eventually too.

Oh my.

Looks like great fun! And no one can give you shit for the handlebar angle :)
-
• #4293
Ha, certainly! The hoods are much further forward than I'm used to & they're about as high as the internal routing will allow. Still, not so uncomfortable.

Interesting design choice, also with the internal cable routing not allowing the shifters further up the bars.
Maybe Cinelli envisioned slacker head angles?
-
• #4295
Possibly? I think they were mainly used on track bikes from Googling, or with shifters with the cables coming out of the side, which would give slightly more freedom of position. Mine have had the hole increased in width a little to make routing easier, still took me two hours though!

Check out SJS cycles, they have clamp on adaptors with cable stops in various sizes:
https://www.sjscycles.co.uk/gear-spares/286-jtek-clampon-double-frame-cable-stop-silver/or can you simply fit downtube stops - which fit over the square shifter bosses?

Ah cheers! Appreciate that
Dropping my Kona in here. It’s from 1995 - built up with new parts, modern wheels and (quasi modern) last good- looking shimano groupset: 6600
7700 down tube shifters
