You can find the Concorde on page 1 but it bears repeating! One of my faves.

I might repost my own but only if I get round to an 11-speed upgrade this Summer. :-)
(Anyone got any Force or Red 22 going cheap??) -

Look at what this monster has done to this Merckx.
The paint is not to my taste but whatevs. Pricey at ยฃ1,000.
Then I read the description.Groupset compatibility: This frame is eTap compatible only. The downtube cable bosses were removed as part of the re-paint process so while the cable routing still exists under the bottom bracket, there are no other cable stops on the frame.

Not to mention the remaining chain stay stop. What's the point then really?

Hmmm. Looks like Iโm going to have to add โmonsterโ to my profile summary.

Is it yours? Puppy killer.

Philistine, vandal, monster, despoiler of originality.

No not mine.
I just don't have much truck with 'originality pedants'. IMHO the owner is at liberty to have it painted in whatever colour he sees fit. How are we to even know why it was repainted - someone might have stromo'ed it?
As for the downtube shifter bosses, I'd suggest that (a) they are easily replaced by a frame builder (b) removal undoubtedly improves the lines of a bike (c) wouldn't be fitted if Merckx were manufacturing the bike today (they'd use headtube adjusters instead).
Personally I'd have downtube shifter bosses removed from anything that needed repainting nowadays - headtube mountered adjusters are much more appropriate for STI shifting. I don't take it upon myself to point and laugh at those who chose to retain them though, I just accept it as their choice.
I'd be more concerned if someone punched a load of holes in the tubes to route Di2 (we all have limits to what we find acceptable).
Edit: 'Puppy killer' added to profile summary

There's a neo retro group on FB. It's mostly American owners with dodgy handlebar angles.

Ok m8.

Ah - the sarcastic put down, how utterly you defeat me.
Edit: and don't bother to 'M8' me either obvs
Edit (further): No really - you are the victor, I will remain silent on the matter... quietly despoiling frames however I please ๐ค

Should be right at home there

MGOF respects old frames, only hanging new componentry as modular updates. Of course followers of this thread, enthusiasts, will want to see frames left well alone. Please donโt chew us out for it here.
I didnโt realise puppy killing still went on, since the end of the conversion era. I guess electronic and wireless shifting could bring it back. RIP.

OK, let's focus on bikes again.
Stripped my Master so the groupset could go to my Corsa Extra (no money for a new group...). Master frameset will stay in the attic for a season.

That blue Daccordi is a dream frame. If I ever find it in a 58-60cm then I'll be delighted. What's the tubing?

Yes all Pedalroom. It was hard to split this haul between MGOF and HHSRB but I think it was worth the deliberation.
