  • Denti Liberty. I think early 90s? Columbus SL. Built for my sister, she chose the bar tape! I like the ladybird logos on headbadge and fork crown...

  • Ruined by the death-trap brake pads 😬

  • Wasn't the Comete withdrawn from sale BITD and recalled?

  • Was it?!

This one was very solid, lugs & joints etc all good. Won’t be ridden hard anyway...

  • looking forward to seeing the final build shots of this. beautiful frame and looks to me like you are doing it just right. wonderful

  • Nice and clean, but ruined by the handlebar angle. If you want a flat transition to the hoods you need something like a Nitto M151.
That goes for the pink Peugeot a few posts above.

  • Yep, true. Those are the original bars that came with the bike, can’t get a good position for 105 hoods on them. Looks a bit less bad IRL compared to the picture

  • Fit the levers like this, then rotate - slightly - the handlebars if required.

  • It's getting there. Only things left to sort is some 1" spacers and a lever/bar position that @Hulsroy won't complain about.

  • Love these frames - ladybug graphics are so sick. Nice build.

  • Shit pic, but it's done. Fully chromed Max in Asmussen team paint. A mix of Red and Rival. Hope on A23.

  • Beautiful!

V envious of your threadless fork (guessing not an adaptor, looks too slick:)

  • The lovely @Hulsroy extended the original steerer.
As the stem was steel I made some spacers from a 1 1/8" steel steerer I had in the garage. A rather nice 1" Ritchey WCS headset was hiding in the parts bin too. After I've tested the fit I'll paint the spacers and wipe the grease from the head tube...

  • A nice cromovelato frame from the local classifieds.

  • awesome frame !!!

  • Maybe someone here can shed some light on a problem I’ve been having. I’ve got a Tommasini Super Prestige frame with campy record 10 carbon levers, record 10 carbon/titanium front derailleur, and record aluminum cranks.

The only way to get the FD to shift onto the big ring properly is to set the limit screw so far to the right that the FD hits the crank arm. I’ve micro-adjusted the limit screw over and over and it just won’t shift properly - unless it’s so far over that it hits the crank arm by a few millimeters.

    Any insight here is appreciated.

  • Not enough cable tension?

  • is the derailleur low enough?

  • @Heldring - cable tension seems fine - it will shift, just has to travel too far to do it.

@TvH - could be a possibility. See photos and tell me what you think.

  • It's too high. The tops of the bigger chainring teeth should just reach the derailleur.
