  • Sky 5 seconds or so down at the first split. Team still intact, surprisingly.

  • No yellow for Millar

  • Garmin third at the finish. No yellow for Millar today.

  • Garmin lost 12 seconds over the second half of the course.

  • Dopers, repentant or otherwise >>

  • If we didn't know it already, this confirms that Geraint Thomas is nails. He's still there with 5 kms to go.

  • Doing pulls too

  • Sky come in 2.4 seconds behind OPQS.

  • If we didn't know it already, this confirms that Geraint Thomas is nails. He's still there with 5 kms to go.

G to smash it then go straight to hospital and put Sky in the lead with stick man laughing all the way to the finish.

    Yep. Nails.

  • Phew!

  • Those speed bumps look fun.

  • Ooff so close. Who would be in yellow for OPQS if they win?

  • Kwiatkowski

  • Conto not using the S-Works McLaren lid?

  • Kwiatkowski

    Go Polska!

  • Saxo second fastest at intermediate.

  • Orica Greenedge on the road now, they must fancy this.

  • I'd be happy with Contador in yellow. Just to watch him lose it.

  • Actually, I don't know who's highest standing for Saxo. Is it him?

  • From the Guardian liveblog:

The men in with a shout are: Jan Bakelants (RadioShack-Leopard), Julien Simon (Sojasun), Simon Gerrans (Orica), Edvald Boasson Hagen (Sky), David Millar (Garmin), Sergey Lagutin (Vacansoleil), Cadel Evans (BMC), Romain Bardet (AG2R), Nicolas Roche (Saxo), Jurgen Van Den Broeck (Lotto-Belisol), Damiano Cunego (Lampre), Eduard Vorganov (Katusha), Alejandro Valverde (Movistar), Jakob Fuglsang (Astana), Mikel Astarloza (Euskaltel), Peter Sagan (Cannondale), Bauke Mollema (Belkin), Arnold Jeannesson (FDJ), Davide Malacarne (Europcar). Christophe Le Mevel (Cofidis) and Michal Kwiatkowski (Omega Pharma-Quick Step).

  • Most of the top teams seem to have lost time to OPQS on the second half of the course thus far, Saxo will have to buck that trend.

  • So Roche for Saxo.

  • There's been a distinct lack of incident so far, which is a shame. The TTT in 2009 was brilliant for that.

  • Vacansoleil are showing early promise for comedy mishaps.

  • Movistar come in 18 seconds down.
