he's not even a GC contender FFS.
Obviously the athlete is alway going to want to continue - but what about the obligations placed on the doctors by their profession? Stupidity.

ur - it's earlier because they have to get everyone off the island for tomorrow. Not sure what time though.
Edit: from inrng (times are usually CET, so -1 hour):
TV: live coverage for the whole stage again. It starts at 12.30pm Euro time with the finish expected between 4.10pm-4.30pm – an hour earlier than usual because the race is flying to the mainland in the evening. Worth watching to see if there’s a fight for the break in the first hour but if not, tune in again for the last half hour.

That's a different thing entirely - he's not going to win anything with a bruised lung, concussion and an open wound on his back.
He certainly doesn't see it that way. I hope he canes everyone in the TT, except Cadel of course.

You've got to love the Tour, where everyone is an expert on everything.
My assumption is that Martin has been thoroughly checked over by at least one Dr and they've given him the green light to continue. I'm sure they've evaluated the evidence as known, without getting any info from the media.

If he can ride a bike, he will.Maybe he can sign a "my family won't sue you" waiver and continue? Maybe it wasn't as bad as first thought? Who knows. The fact is, he's riding.

Geraint has a small fracture in his pelvis apparently. Ouchies
I read that Orica's Clarke does
Coincidence? Or misinformation? Clarke seems to be in better form than G -
• #737
In form or out of form. G would not be sat on the back.
DS to doc: Can he cycle? Doc: Yes. DS: Then he's on the bike. This is the Tour.
They'll want to keep full teams for the TTT. after that expect retirements.

^^ I meant in the sense that G looks more like he has a hip fracture than Clarke, who's comfortably in the break

"I still cannot believe that Martin is riding on. Like a boss."
Couldn't agree more!

Good incentive for someone to try and solo today with a late attack again. Can anyone take 2 seconds off the pack?

If Clarke and Minard can hold them off should be interesting
