It would be a shame if he had to abandon.

How the F will tony Martin be able to carry on? Surely that's too much! Although having just read charley wegeilus' book it maybe it's just what has to be done. Also gutted as have him in my fantasy team.

It would take suspiciously superhuman attributes to carry on for long if the injuries are as bad as suggested. Even then he won't be able to perform at anything near his best.
He's as good as out. Bit of a shame really.

Given the likelihood of more crashes today then if he has had a concussion it would be criminal to let him start. It's not as if he's even going to be able to stay neat the front.

A second concussion can be fatal. From what I have read it's more likely in teenagers but the risk is still there. It would be negligent to let him race at all.

Seeing as the decision to start has undoubtedly been cleared with someone with more medical knowledge than we have, the concussion can't be so bad as to pose that risk. Fingers crossed. I'm sure that if the stage doesn't go well, he'll be taken out of the race before the finish.

And, by the way, all French and English commentators, Kittel's surname rhymes with 'little' and not with 'Vittel'.

To be fair, I think he should hold a press conference and clear up how to say it.

I mean I look at the letters in the word 'Kennaugh' but my mind just fails to arrange them into a readable format.

I'd concede alongside a lot of Gaelic names it's the not perhaps the most intuitive of pronunciation, but it's 'ken yak', not 'ken aw', 'ken oh', 'ken of', etc. I seem to remember fellow Manxman Cav gently pointing this out at the Olympics but commentators struggling again within seconds.
