Please not Declan Quigly..

It is Kirby and Kelly

Tom Danielson - the Liverpool FC of the pro cycling world.
Will next year be his year then?
-
• #356
Exactly. He's the next big thing, even though he's now 35.

Winning the shirt sponsor?

So David Harmon is suffering from/dealing with depression..
He's a nice guy. I hope he manages to deal with it ok.

I feel for Harmon, I always enjoyed his commentary, good luck to him.

So no Liggett this year? Outed due to his support for Armstrong?
-
• #361
Who said anything of quantity.. his poor widdle tummy gets upsets.
He has some magic beans from Norway now so he's alright.Anyway, where was I. Oh, that's right, EBH >>>
Pretty shitty of Kimmage to use him to get at Brailsford and his continued feud with Sky, ever since Wiggins pulled a wobbly and refused to let him embed for the the first week of the 2010.
He's a good lad, he loves his mum and once rescued an otter from a sea eagle. True story.

Never heard about Harmon's problems. Thought it was a bit odd he was talking about taking a break because he was a bit "burnt out" a couple of months into the season after having all winter off.
Massive shame since I love the Harmon/Kelly combo.
Carlton Kirby is possibly my least favourite commentator on the planet. How he has a job, I will never understand. Way more annoying than DQ.

So David Harmon is suffering from/dealing with depression.. .
That's no way to talk about Sean Kelly.
He's a legend.

Ah. I'm poorly informed / tired. My apologies.

Couldn't agree more.. And hats off for being open with it.

Kelly has wished Harmon all the best in dealing with his depressification.

Speaking of Eurosport, did anyone see The Ride? Two amateurs picked to be coached by two ex-pros to ride Huez with two current pros? Saw the first episode last night and looks like it could be a decent watch.
-
• #371
Is it available on the player do-dah thing?

Been struggling to remember who the 2nd pro is. Amateur 1 is some Danish? bike shop owner, coached by Sean Kelly and Amateur 2 is a French guy being coached by Richard Virenque. One of the pros is Pierre Rolland.
It seemed good and pretty genuine. Like Kelly was a bit taken aback by his guy having tattoos and a moustache - "looks more like a rock star than a cyclist". And Virenque thought his guy was too heavy to climb.
Edit: The Ride - Conquer The Road - YouTube
Seems the 2nd guy is Froome. -
