I reckon that it starts to get a little too hard and bobbly at around 0°-1° C, but it certainly plays well down to there.
-
• #203
Yeah, about 0 - 20 degrees

Max - are you around this weekend? if not could you (or john) leave a couple of magic grips with someone ? I'll pick them up either sat/sun and leave the money for you.
-
• #215
I'm not, but Max may be around.
-
• #216
Is 1mm similar strength to a standard Rik or Perro?
-
• #217
Based on our prototypes yes, Max was using one for a long time, personally I've only used the 0.8mm shafts.
-
• #218
Bent two of the white Perros we got at the 2012 champ in less than a month of use each, I'm assuming they were lites as the Riks I used before took more dents without bending.
I'll take a handfull of 1.0mm poles whenever they're ready, are we talking the next few weekends or definitely sometime in February?
-
• #219
I haven't got a delivery date as yet, but based on past experienced I'd say between a week and 10 days.
-
• #220
@Chan, yep i'll bring some with me. Can even install them for you in the magic workshop (5mins from downs) if you like.
John, i'm STILL using the 1mm prototype,my only mallet since UK champs (inc. Greif camp/worlds wildcard/buppel and pickup/league games)
-
• #221
If the purple poles arrive before February 2nd, I'll take 4, collected.
-
• #222
Might get you guys to pick me up some grips, we should maybe all chip in on some balls too.
-
• #223
A question, do people still buy much hockey tape. Would there be demand if we sold it?
-
• #224
Definitely. Would have to be a good price though.
I was also thinking about tennis wrap as an alternative to your grips.
Ok the grips are awesome but I like a wider grip so there's less stress on my grasp.
The ergo tape I've been using weighs nothing and is so comfortable. Branded too.
You can also put a stick or something inside it so you know which way your mallet is facing when you're not looking. I still like to do that and all the shock get taken out with this tape. All that said I'm yet to try the Magic grips so my opinion may change.
Just wondering if there is a preference out there? -
• #225
I've never used the golf grip but I'm keen to try. I find hockey tape wears out the palms of my gloves fairly fast.
Have you got a link to that ergo tape stuff toddy? What's it like?
What temps are the cool balls good at? Are they the same as the one landslide got from you that we've been using in Sheffield?
