So, after seeing the doctor the other day, my hip is healing well but I have another 6 week's of crutches. I'm not allowed to use a turbo because I could end up with arthritis. Good news about the healing but not the news I wanted to hear, i can't go out side Incase i slip in the snow.FML.

glad things are getting a little better. i will be down near you tomorrow, may even try to drop in on the way home

A rider was knocked off on Holloway Road (at the junction with Tufnell Park Road) tonight by a blue van driving erratically (fifty yards ahead of me) tonight. Cyclist was OK and his bike was OK. Not sure I would have had the cyclist's calm and generous attitude to the van driver (who had been stopped from driving off by being blocked in by a good driver who had witnessed it).

Knocked off my bike in Bromley by a car turning across me from the opposite lane into a side rd to my left. Standard annoying smidsy. Bike in shop for crash report. Good advice from the very helpful OJeffcott though.
Gnerally still feeling quite 'bah'.

hope you're good, i think it's actually safer cycling in central london compared to bromley / south / southeast london

Going to get checked out by the GP when I can. I'm beginning to come to the conclusion that drivers just don't seem to know that cyclists exist round here.

Rider down on Holloway Road this evening. Looked serious - ambulance, a couple of police cars etc.

I came off today after swerving to avoid some idiot who pulled out on me, even after clearly looking straight through me, at the beverley way/coombe lane junction near kingston. He didn't stop.

Also, on the way home a right turning cyclist was hit infront of me by a scooter driver speeding up the blue cycle lane near colliers wood tube. Thankful both were uninjured. I stopped for witness statments etc.

just got rear ended by a drunk driver on clapham road on the junction with handforth road.
the police was travelling the opposite direction at the same time and witness the event
the driver has been arrested on the scene with drink driving
and i also got the event record on a head cam

Blimey, bad luck but having the police there and a head cam is about as good as it gets in that situation.

It all went well, for a road traffic accident

gotta hope they get him back to the station quick and get that breath reading and hope it hasnt gone below the limit in the time
