I have my doubts
About the 'don't stop' advice or the failure to understand the basic precepts of of insurance, how it operates, why it works, and the economic rationale for having it in the first place?

Both of those things are standard, I was more doubting that tommy would ever deliberately make a joke, of any kind, anywhere, anytime.

Dan is of course correct insurance like stopping to help a strangers in need are both social obligations, the risk and reward of which are taken by the group as a whole and it is not a simple matter of self interest although often thought as and marketed as such.
I also hope Bothwell is now left in no further doubts about my deliberations on anything anymore.

Me again.
Driver trying to enter into the Jet petrol station on Brentford High St pulled right across my path approx 20mph inducing an epic skid to avoid resulting in an equally epic Dukes of Hazzard bonnet slide ending in a not so epic heap on the floor.
Because I had the sense to leap she don't crushy leg the pedal cage went through the bumper crushing the cage and my saddle is proper fucked.
Everything else spins fine handle bars didn't need adjusting but as it's steel I should get it checked
She wouldn't give me her details saying "you wait here and I'll go home an get them" so I rang 101.
Police came details were exchanged.
Currently in West Mid A&E awaiting X-ray of my wrist (the one I broke last time)
Re: This ^
Insurance paid out.
Had bike checked again at another shop, found no damage to frame at all (the mechanic was probably covering his arse)
Police just called, she failed to respond to a Driver Awareness course request so now she is being summoned to court for driving without due care. -

Pretty heroic; small child, burning building, you don't stop to think....
-
• #1319
or possibly, teaching a child to do an emergency stop in a playground, walking backwards, trip over a basketball stand and go arse over tit.
-
• #1320
have you considered walking training?
-
• #1321
Basketball coaching instead perhaps....
