  • This is exactly what i was thinking of when i first saw that photo on the page before. Sad. Great minds think alike tho eh?

  • Damn engineer injokes...

  • proto hipsters. they were into triangles, before they were cool.

  • have your deda dabars turned up yet Iain? wouldn't mind a gander as I was thinking of them for my new build when I get my monies innit.

  • wait... 177.5mm ?! surely 165mm would be lighter, and also track cranks over road?

There are no track cranks that will come close to this weight even though its a road (actually MBT) cranks.

And 177.5mm i think is wrong. Its not that long.

  • Damn engineer injokes...

  • broken

  • ^^quality

  • Si, can you see what that is?

All I got is a red X in a grey box

  • broken

it ain't broke, it just lacks duct tape ...

Two rules get you through life: If it's stuck and it's not supposed to be, WD-40 it. If it's not stuck and it's supposed to be, duct tape it :)

I was thinking 'can I justify this as a pratt truss and make a lol moment at CB's expense'.

Mainly because I'm jealous of his project.

  • Are these cranks really nearly 180mm? You realise that will make them harder to spin?

    You should read this:

  • given Iain's proclivity towards polo gearing that shouldn't be too much of an issue.

  • I regularly switch from 165s to 175s and don't notice the change. don't get many miles in though, so take that with a pinch of salt.

  • I predict >>>>anti>>>>>classified

  • Actually, if you see any of my bikes, most could easily be anti based on the parts I add...

I will not be placing these on the classifieds.

In other ideas... As this is a 130 BCD, I was thinking of using a small chainring and a small cog to save weight:-)

really? I find the jump from 172.5 to 165 pretty noticeable
