Anyone got a 3.0 frame running 27/28mm tyres? Mine looks like they would just about fit but don't have any to test. It seems like the clearance is dictated by the front derailleur rather than the stays...

I’m potentially looking for a Supersix in a 58 or 60.
Can anyone tell me if there are sub catergories within the hi mod & lo mod frames or if it’s just the add ons that vary the spec.
Also is there are any specific jumps in spec after certain years like full carbon fork etc.
Thanks -

The answer is it's complicated and your best bet is to get the seller to put the F&F on the scales.
The lower specc'd models did have different layup. But a more recent, lower spec'd model will be preferable to an older, mid spec'd model. Etc.

Saw a couple of these at the XC World Cup races yesterday. They didn't explode.

Keep an eyes out for tyres rub on the chain stay, not uncommon to have it, if you see it, avoid.

Does it portend catastrophic failure ahead?

It's enough to warrant a replacement frameset.

An indication that the dropouts are fucked by the QR not being tight enough allowing the wheel to move out of alignment.

There's also also a Standard mod - https://bikerumor.com/2012/06/20/2013-cannondale-supersix-evo-standard-road-disc-cyclocross-womens-bikes/

And running too large a tyres on the older model (28mm), as the frame is a little out of symmetrical.

Got this complete off eBay for what I thought was a good price. Only changes I've made so far are the saddle and pedals. Will be getting a new black seat post of some sort, will try and dig a nicer and slightly shorter stem out of the spares box and will put some wide risers on it for now. It'll also be getting new tyres. Does anyone know what the widest tyres you can fit on a caad 4 are? The shitty, no name tyres on there at the minute are 28s but looks like there's a little bit of room.

My 91 3.0 has 25's right now, and it looks like 28's would just fit on the rear.

Am I right to be deeply wary that this seller describes rims with "ENVE" literally written on them as "Cannondale Carbon wheels"?

I mean, the design is almost illegible if you know what you're looking for. Could be someone with more money than bike knowledge who doesn't really know what they've got?

Maybe they meant Cannondale green?
The 'light mark' on the down tube looks pretty serious

Yeah I'm on 25 mm Conti 4 Seasons right now, they're not terribly comfortable paired with this frame. I suppose that comes with the territory of a stiff-as-hell alu bike.

Found this in the local classifieds.

If you aren’t racing it, it’s not for you.
You can have fun on it but it requires a bit of skill
None of the 2019s even ship with a dropper
