I asked them what size it was, and what the saddle rails it had:
"Medium"
Draw your own conclusions from that.

Both the gumtree adds are suspicious. I messaged the seller of the red caad 5 and got a strange reply. I think both nicked. Worth putting in the stolen bikes thread?
-
• #8405
Yeah why not, though if either of those owners were on there they surely they'd have asked in the thread? Second if they aren't on the forum what can you do?
-
• #8406
"Louise" who posted the red caad has another ad for a trek I think, where she says it was her ex-partner's bike. So she may just not know about bikes.

Yeah, and tbh, if you're checking this thread you will have already trawled gumtree. They are not exactly hidden given the search terms.

The sad truth about lovely stolen bikes the the integrity//moral compass aspect. It's not your fault it's stolen, you just want a new bike...but then again you know that it's stolen so should you even have it but then if it can't be returned to the owner...it's a vicious cycle of regret so I'd just stay away personally

Thought it looked familiar.

I'd sell my CAAD4 saeco Stars and Stripes for one of those!
-
• #8416
Right, def selling this:
What does the hive mind think for price?
58cm, hand built wheels, force 22, hollowgrams with Sram red chainrings, ultegra cassette, Yokozuna Cables etc.I'll include some Ti speedplay (which cleats and covers), SRAM Red 53/39 chainrings and hollowgram spider, original uncut fork and spacers, crank puller and a set of 25c Open Pave CG tyres and I'll swap the saddle for a fancier romin with carbon rails. £1200 unreasonable?

Got a new project?
-
• #8418
Nope, I just dont ride road any more. Makes more sense to get a second wheel set for my cross bike and use that as an 'all road' sort of thing

I just dont ride road any more
Back to being a track sprinter then ;-)

Lush, one of my favourites as it's quite humble/less loud than most so could be a work/lock up. What's the ride like//how does it compare to steel/carbon/alu carbon mix?

• #8423
Anyone got a lefty knocking around?

• #8424
Rattier the better

If there is, don't give it to Matt, give it to me.
I'd put money on it being stolen - those who align their tyre logos with their valves don't describe a bike as 'going for commuting' (sic)
