  • Same size as the system six I just sold. I'll wait for a 56 :) but cheers

  • £1000 52cm caad10 disc with hydros and hunt wheels here - http://singletrackworld.com/forum/topic/fs-caad-10-disc-black-inc-1050-ultegra-11sp-hunt-3

not my listing but thought someone might be interested

  • Just ordered one of these to replace my CAAD10, it got written off yesterday.
    https://www.westbrookcycles.co.uk/cannondale-caad12-road-bike-frameset-2017-p322757

Westbrook don't specify this to be the Black Inc, yet the colour way is the same. On the Cannondale website (along with Sigma Sports and others) it says the Black Inc comes with the Hi Mod forks, reckon this one does as well and Westbrook just messed up?

  • I've had a look around and most places seem to list the forks as either hi-mod or ballistec carbon (ballistec was the super hi-mod carbon used for the S6 Black Inc bikes) so I think you get the lighter forks.

In comparison for fork weights from my previous Cannondales:

    2014 CAAD10 fork - 368g
    2015 CAAD10 Black Inc fork- 343g
    2015 S6 Black Inc fork - 279g

That was with a chunk of steerer chopped off (same amount on each). Will be interesting to see how light yours is.

  • Cheers for your reply. I'll make sure I weigh them when the bike arrives. Be interesting to see how the CAAD12 compares to my CAAD10. I always assumed the "giant leap forward" was marketing nonsense, but it seems like they have knocked off a fair amount of weight compared to the CAAD10 and just popped into to my lbs to have a look at a CAAD12, the thing looks mean!

  • anyone experienced a sort of clicky/creaky stem/handlebar area on their caad? headset is smooth as - cant work out if its the SI bung thing being odd. really irritating

  • my CAAD has this problem really bad, so far i've found greasing the outer races of the bearings seems to quiet it down

  • What bb does it have? BSA or bb30?

  • yes BSA, Threaded

  • Any dents / crashes?

  • Yep, it turned out to be the saddle rails.

  • Yep, I loosened the bung a tiny amount and it eased up.

  • I did this. didnt help. so frustrating

  • yeah think I will give this a go (after preloading bearings)

  • ye ive had my fork bung creak also.

  • I just have had my new supersix for over a week now, and the right chainstay shows some subtle white wearing/line. I just cannot make out how it is created as it is only on the crank side. I do wear jeans biking, or is it actual chain bouncing up and down? Put some simple tape there now, but it's not pristine anymore. :( ;)
Any other areas that could use taping? Not so much experience with carbon/geared bikes...

  • Photo?

If you have the 'dale cranks they are worth protecting as they are prone to shoe rub.

  • Mine does it too, I think it's the fork bung, need to look at it this evening as it's driving me mad

  • Anyone want some cannondale bars - think they are 42cm, C4 - ergo shape - free?

  • Yeah I'll take them. I'll PM you shortly

  • double

  • See chainstay. Thinking of buying a frame save sticker set, carbon and paint seems so delicate compared to my steel frames.

  • Any dents / crashes?

    1 dent on the TT.

  • So with a super long steerer, my CAAD12 black inc fork weighs in at 380g. A little heavier than expected!

Not sure how much weight loss chopping the steerer will provide.

  • Probably come in around 35og. Time Slice Si weighed around 300g cut -I assume you probably don't want to go much lower than that.
